5 Steps to start talking with your pet

①Practice the "Slide Test" using your finger

《Key Points to Remember》
◎Hold your smartphone steadily with both hands.
◎Always draw an arc starting from the same point each time.

② Get a YES/NO Response.

Ask your inner voice a true question and slide immediately.
Then, ask a false question and slide again. Repeat these steps alternately.

You can ask the questions out loud or just say them in your mind.
If the answer is YES, the line naturally becomes longer. If it's NO, the line naturally stays shorter.
Practice until you see a clear difference in the line lengths (aim for 70-80% accuracy).

【If there is no change】
1. Experiment with different levels of sliding force.
2. Slide slowly for about 5 seconds using minimal pressure.
3. Try sliding without looking at your finger; check the result only after it stops.

【To avoid overthinking (mental bias) Perform the slide test with a constant force and speed. 】
1. The slide test is performed with a constant force and speed.
2. Simply ask and slide, without trying to think of the answer.
3. Slide with confidence, believing in your natural response.
※If you don't get a YES/NO response, there is always a reason. Try adjusting your approach each time. 
※The Initial Setup cannot be completed without accurate responses.

③ Complete the Initial Setup.

 

Save the “Base Data” for your inner voice’s YES/NO responses as a reference baseline.
Ask five true questions and five false questions.

Ask five truth and false questions. Example: Is my name? (someone else's name)?

Go back to Step ②and Practice until you see a clear difference in line length (aim for 70–80% accuracy).

④ Start a conversation!  

Tap “Talk” on the home screen to start a conversation.

Ask "Is my name [Name]?" to confirm your inner voice's YES/NO accuracy.
◆If it's accurate, ask your pet for permission ("May I talk to you?") before starting.
◆If it is inaccurate, go back to Step ③ try the initial setup again.

《Points to note》
Even after you get used to it, please reset the Initial Setup at least once every few weeks.

⑤ Always end the conversation by saying “Thank you” and expressing your gratitude.

    その場合、下記の点をチェックしてください。

    ✔︎ スマホの持ち方が安定しているか(両手でしっかり持つ) 
      →慣れれば片手でも反応は取れる
    ✔︎ 親指のスライド開始の場所が、定位置からになっているか
      →親指の可動域の限界から始めるのも良い
    ✔︎ スライド終了時、親指を画面からシュッと離していないか
      →画面から離さないと分かりやすい
    ✔︎ スライドを「最小の力加減」で、「思いっきりゆっくり」にしてみる。
      →NO時に親指が止まる感覚が分かりやすい

User-Generated Content
